Brake Check IT IS NOW AVAILABLE! ![]() BrakeCheck is the new generation of brake testing equipment designed and manufactured by Circuitlink International. The BrakeCheck is a fully self-contained, portable, battery-powered device that tests and reports on brake efficiency. It can be used by fleet workshops, government traffic authorities, testing and inspection stations etc, to help determine the condition of a vehicles brake components. The BrakeCheck will be a convenient and integral part of any OH&S or maintenance program. It will also prove to be an invaluable tool for vehicle registration inspections. The BrakeCheck determines braking efficiency of both the Service Brake (Foot brake) and Hand Brake by measuring deceleration. The device also provides an indication of sideways acceleration, or pull, which could be caused by faulty brake components. Designed to be self-compensating, the instrument will indicate on the LED screen when it is positioned level enough to perform a brake test. A generous tolerance ensures “level enough” is easily achieved with the unit sitting on the vehicle seat or floor. All operations are performed using only three buttons on the unit. The BrakeCheck can be used to test any type of vehicle, including motorcycles, and can be positioned anywhere in the vehicle. The device operates on 4 rechargeable Nickel Cadmium batteries and will power-down after a period of inactivity to conserve energy. Results of the last test performed are available for viewing and printing even after a power-down. With the BrakeCheck, test results can be viewed on the display or downloaded to a PC. Serial printing of results can be done using the optional Infrared Link (or cable) printer. It should be noted that the BrakeCheck may not comply with your local Government Regulations concerning brake testing of road registered vehicles. Local Statutory requirements should be determined before a Brake Tester is selected. NSW Authorised Inspection Stations are referred to our NSW compliant testers, Brake-Testa Millennium and Brake-Testa Millennium HV for heavy vehicles.
